Works with Ubuntu Linux
I have used the Sansa m230 for over a year now and have had no problems loading music onto it (into the AUDIBLE folder) from Ubuntu Linux (Gusty & Hardy). I've tried newer models, like the Sansa c250, and they would not recognize the music put on them, but with the Sansa m230 I did not have that problem. They say newer is better, but in this case the older model worked better. If all you need is a simple mp3 player and you use Ubuntu Linux for your operating system, get one now while they are on sale for only $20!!!ilikemysandiskaishaluv101

SanDisk was recommended to me for an MP3 player. The player is superb, easy to set up and operate. The ear phones are a tad difficult but other than that an excellent purchase. Mine holds 83 songs...more than enough to enjoy. Would recommend to anyone.sandisk sansa m230 512 mb mp3 player(blue)
