Best sounding player on the market!
Quite simply...this has the most power and sound quality on the market today. I've done a lot of research. I can't believe how good these sound ...with clear power to spare!Great for Audio Books with 2.51 firmware
Excellent player for audio books due to its bookmarking ability. Interfaces seamlessly with the Overdrive Audio Books software used by my library after I "Downgraded" to the 2.51 firmware. I had upgraded to the 2.54 version, but it became difficult to download books, and then the books would not play. I also would highly recommend the leather carrying case (search for item #B000WPGLL0) sold here by JetAudio. It has a leather flap which protects the screen.Great player w/long battery life
Great player has everything you could want in a player, great sound too. The only con is the fonts is too small ever after downloading the upgrade. The best on the market in my opinion!!!!Cowon D2 Lots of features
I previously owned a Cowon U2, Very small but excellent quality. I was looking for something with a bigger display and more features. The Cowon D2 does that and more. Lots of features, music, movies, pictures, audible, fm radio, voice recorder, notepad, newer firmware has 2 calculators, constant firmware upgrades. There is a little learning curve to figure out everything it has and how to use it (the owners manual does not give a lot of info). But there is a lot of support including www.iaudiophile.net that has a lot of info, reviews, and forums that help alot. Battery life is forever, I purchased the 4gb model and added a 4gb sdhc card for 8gb total. More than I will need for a long time.Love it for Ebooks, Music, Videos, Games, Dictionary
I love this little player and am really happy I chose this to replace my Creative Zen Nano Plus. I actually got to liking it so much, I gave my Creative Zen Vision M to my sister when she looked longingly at it and asked why I needed 2 video devices lol. Anyway, I primarily use the player to read books via the text reader and listen to music. Now I'm no music-head so am completely happy with the music experience, I have no idea was a true music aficianado would thing of the sound. The only problem with the video is that everything must be converted, even if the proper format to fit the screen of the player. I love the touch screen, its really responsive and the battery life rocks. If taking a long trip, I'll just turn the brightness down and it last A LONG time. Awesome. Back to ebooks, it allows you to save a lot of bookmarks, there are 3 text sizes and scrolling in various speeds is also an option. I love it. At first it drove me crazy how lines would randomly stop, but now I'm used to it. I don't think this could replace a dedicated ebook reader like the Kindle, but its great if you don't want to spend a lot of money on an ebook reader and simply need a multiprupose device with a touchscreen, good sound, video playback, ebook capability, flash games available, and the option of upgrading with sdhc. I have 2 8 gb cards that don't seem to slow down the startup too much. Let's see what else can I say. Oh, the screen still has no scratches after 5 months (my zvm had scratched after 2 weeks), but I have left the plastic screen cover on it, lol, I never thought I would do that, but I keep meaning to get an official screen cover that will adhere, but procrastinate. I think the screen seems pretty durable, so I am not worried. I do wish it came in a greater variety of colors. I like to buy the pink device and had to make do with buying a pink silicone cover and that's just not the same. Pros: Ebooks, Sound Quality, Battery Life, Screen, Games, Dictionary, Comfy size and feel in the hands Cons: Needing to convert videos, lack of color optionsKeyword : iriver
