Great Music Player

The media player is easy to use, and the CD ripping software perfect. I have over 80 albums on the player, and it still has 1/3 of the memory free. The sound is great, and the FM radio feature locks on the stations well, even in an area of congested frequency assignments. The SD card feature allows even more space than I will ever need. The small physical size makes it a pleasure to carry around.

Great alternative to Ipod/Zune

Excellent flash based player. Intuitive interface, nice screen, solid build quality. The only downfall is the front of the player is a magnet for smudges.

Mine does not work out of box, White screen!

I read several reviwers indicated that this MP3 has quality issues that may results in white screen out of box. I thought it may be a small percentage and I would try my luck. Unfortunately, The Zen arrived is a defective one with only white screening when it is turned on after charging. I was very disapointed and returned it back. Amazon is very good to take it back. They paid all shipping. I have no loss in this transaction. However, I am very mad at Creative creating such a bad product.

Good Product, but Beware!!!

Well, I loved my zen. It had really good picture quality, video was awesome, the user interface was easy to use, and the sound quality was alright, but much better when I used my own headphones, and most importantly, it had a expandable slot for an SD card. Now here comes the bad part...after a couple of charges, everything was great, except that the battery life wasn't as great as what I was expecting. When I charged it, I left it on the USB cord all night, like i usually do. The next morning I took it off and left for work. When I came home, I tried turning it on, and got nothing. When I plugged it into the computer, it still didn't turn on. The point of this story is BUYER BEWARE!! I gave this three stars because I really liked all the features and look of the Zen, but took two off because of how long it lasted. :) I returned it to Amazon for a refund, and am now getting an Apple Ipod Touch.

Cautiously pleased

I am pleased with this product for the most part. Figuring out how to use it for me means going to the on line How To document. Remembering what pushing each tiny button results in will take practice. Downloading and transferring to the player is very easy and fast. My main negative: the foam rubber cushions on the (cheap) earphones fell off almost immediately. I planned on buying separate ones anyway, but still. I don't plan to use the video component so can't comment on that, but the audio quality is very good, for me. I just want to listen to EBooks and music; I don't get into the real technical/quality issues. Happy with my selection.
