SanDisk Sansa e250 2 GB MP3 Player with microSD Expansion Slot (Black)

Cool Gadget Reviews

Sandisk does it again for alternative to ipod!

First off this product is the version 2 for anyone thats interested.I plugged it into my new Acer laptop with Vista.Vista acknowledged it(probably because I made sure I had all my updates for Vista)and had no problems with it identifying it.Went to sansa and downloaded firmware update with no problems.Another great product by sansa.I previously owned the c140 that still works great. But this has a larger screen, displays video, has FM radio that surprisingly works well, voice recorder and also has micro sd card slot to add more music, videos what have you.I have a friend who owns an ipod and I like this much better. Dont forget on this you can change out the lithium battery unlike the ipod.Buy hey if your into name brand products waste your money on the ipod. The one thing I thought that sansa did not think out to much was the four buttons on the player they should have lowered the blue ring to make it easier to press but this is not a deal killer. I would also suggest (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000S95FYY) which is the silicon case. The silicon buttons are raised so that its much easier to press those buttons.

Excellent product for a low price

I use my Sandisk e250 for the long and boring times while I travel and it is a good companion. Sound is really good, features are easy to use and for the price you pay you get some decent storage room. I didn't give it 5 starts because the random feature repeats songs too quickly and the custom equalizer has a bug that causes sound to go off on one side (sometimes at both), but appart from these minor problems, it works really well. As another reviewer said "dare to be different, go Sansa"

My new SanDisk e250

I love my mp3. I have tried others but this one is fantastic. Highly recommended.

Great Product.

I love this MP3 player, it holds all of my songs, and has a memory slot so if I run out of room on the hard drive I can purchase a memory card as large as I want. This is the only player I will every need and it was so much cheaper than most mp3's or ipods. I don't really know why anyone would pay such a high price for something when this MP3 works as well as anything on the market. The battery life holds up great and last a long time. The only draw back is that you have to charge it from your pc. Great product, would recommend it to anyone!

decent product no so decent customer service by Sansa

I emailed the receipt for my Sansa e250 that was purchased in December of 2007. The item has a one year warranty. To date, no one has responded to my email despite being told that I would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. This is the second time that I have encountered customer service/warranty issues with Sandisk. At this point in time I am led to believe that Sandisk has a habit of promising a warranty return and then "dropping the ball" ostensibly to have a consumer to just go away. At first I was content to just blog my experience with all of Sandisk's responses because the first time this happened I attributed it to human error. This time, I received a canned response to my inquiry and the support issue was closed. I opened a new inquiry which has now also been closed even though I emailed the receipt from Amazon.com for the e250 (we bought two at that time) and have not received any response to my email. I am forced to conclude that Sandisk is content with selling devices, providing semi-responsive customer service and then ignoring its customers all while blaming the delays on the hand off between support and RMA divisions. Within my household we own four Sansa e250 devices, one c100 device and a MicroSD expansion card. While I enjoy my Sansa e250 when it's working, I no longer feel as if I can recommend it to my friends, colleagues or to the readers of my blog due to this failing on the part of Sandisk.
