Great Addtion To a Great Product!

Been an owner of a 650WiFi now for at least six months now, and take it pretty much everywhere I go. It allows me to take my pictures, music and videos with me. And now this little gem allows me to share my media with friends even more via TV connectors (standard RCA connectors you know, yellow (video), red (audio right), white(audio left). The output of the Archos to the TV is great, displays and plays everything on your Archos to the TV. And while it plays, it charges your battery on your Archos and itself (since its an external battery to the 605 Wifi). Now yes it is awkward when holding it since the dock is not streamlined to the Archos, and your Archos cases will not accommodate it. This is good for traveling long distances, and if you want to display your Archos goods to a large crowd. I highly recommend getting this for your Archos its worth it. Don't have an Archos yet? Still trapped in iPod land?... get an Archos you'll be much happier!

A Must Have for Archos 605 WiFi 160GB

I was very impressed with my purchase of an Archos 605 WiFi until the Cowon QW5 arrived. The Cowon boasts a 7 hour battery and direct to TV port with USB 2.0 Host adapter. Guess what? With this addition to my Archos 605 I not only have all the fore mentioned features, but a 160GB Hard Drive instead of suffering with the Cowon 60GB. Also about $180.00 less than the Cowon, including the $40.00 for this item.

Excellent but a little awkward in shape

I have an Archos 605 80GB and I purchased the battery dock for a trip I am taking soon. Without the dock my 605 will run playing movies, with wifi off, for about 4:20. I tested with the dock and 605 fully charged and it ran for just over 7 hours. So this gives a good boost to battery life. Charging works much faster then via USB and about the same as my DVR Station. The usb ports work, not much more to be said. The tv out is about what you would expect for composite. I recomend the DVR Station if you want quality tv out, it has component out and digital audio. My one complaint about this device is the form factor. It works fine if you just stand up the 605 using the kick stand, but it is awkward to hold in your hand and even worse to put in a pocket. The primary issue is it is about twice the depth of the 605 itself so sticks far out in front of the device. I see why they did this, to allow the kick stand to continue to work, but that does not change the impact of the shape. Overall this is an excellent product to take on a trip but I would not want to use it for around town.

It buys you 30 minutes, that's it

I fly a lot and my longest time I can keep my Archos 160 playing video is about 3 hours. I wanted more so I bought this, it buys you about 20-30 minutes more of video, that's it. Now I'm trying to figure out whether to buy a couple more of them to have a reserve, or get a book to read. Wished I had another option out there but I don't.
